General manager of Gateway Crewe, Alex Walker, with the Cheshire Blades under 14s squad and team manager Simon Richards

Local Peugeot dealership, Gateway, situated on Crewe Gates Industrial Estate, has kicked off a new sponsorship deal with local football club Cheshire Blades FC.

The youth football club, which has been running at grass roots level for over 20 years, currently trains and develops over 300 young players aged between three and 16.

Based in Crewe, the Cheshire Blades has 19 teams, for both boys and girls, and aims to create a fun environment for footballers at all levels.

As part of the sponsorship deal, all player shirts will now showcase the Peugeot Gateway logo.
To show their gratitude for the Gateway’s support, the under 14s squad – who won their cup semi-final while debuting the new kit - recently visited the dealership, to thank the Peugeot team members and hand deliver a signed football shirt for the employees to keep.

Alex Walker, general manager at Gateway, said: “At Gateway we strongly believe in supporting local community initiatives and as an office full of footie fans, Cheshire Blades FC is a natural fit for us.

“We look forward to watching the talented teams’ progress and are keeping our fingers crossed that our signed shirt might one day be worth a small fortune.”
