North West Olympic farewell

Tatton Park hosted a farewell event for 65 athletes from Oceania before they head off to London for the Olympics.

The athletes have been based across the region at various training camps as part of the North West London 2012 Consortium project.

To coincide with the send off, athletes were entertained by dancers from across Cheshire and Warrington as part of The Moment When project. This is a dance performance that is the flagship project of the Cultural Olympiad and the Big Dance 2012.

The Mayor of Cheshire East, Councillor George Walton, was also on hand to wish the athletes all the best for the upcoming games.
