Pedestrian named following collision in Crewe

 

The family of a man who died following a collision in Crewe have paid tribute to him.

Alan Birkby, aged 39, from Crewe, sustained fatal injuries following a collision with a HGV on Friday evening (5th July).

The collision took place at 7.15pm on Weston Road in Crewe. The lorry driver was left shocked but uninjured.

This week Alan′s mum paid tribute to her son:

She said: "My son, my life, my world, my blue eyed angel. No one will ever take you away from me my son. One day I′ll be back with you. God bless my dear lad, you will always be in my heart. I can′t believe you have gone Alan. Rest in peace, god bless you my son."

Enquiries are continuing in relation to the collision. Police have now traced and spoken to a woman who was in a car in Weston Road, Crewe, at around 7pm on Friday shortly before the collision.

Officers believe there were 2 other vehicles also in the area at the time of collision and are appealing for the drivers to come forward.

The vehicles are believed to be a white Skoda Octavia and a blue/green Landrover.
