X Factor Success for Local Singer.

Teenage Crewe Singer Tim Gallagher has passed the open auditions for this year’s X Factor which were held at the BT Convention Centre/Echo Arena on Saturday 3rd March. Tim said," I was filmed singing to the crowd of audition hopefuls and then progressed through two more auditions which were held on the Sunday. I am now waiting to see if I am called back to perform in front of the judging panel and I will appear on the show this autumn."

The television show’s production team are currently touring the country holding auditions at various cities throughout the U.K. It is only the second year that auditions have been held in Liverpool and Tim is hoping to follow the success of last year’s finalists. Two of the final three boys mentored by Gary Barlow in the 2011 X Factor show were from the Liverpool auditions.

Cllr Brian Silvester said, "I am sure we all wish Tim every success and look forward to voting for him if he progresses further. He is an excellent singer and a potential winner of the competition."

Sign Will be Moved to Help Willaston Bloom.

Willaston and Rope Borough Councillor Brian Silvester has managed to get the Council to promise to move a 'Willaston' sign a short distance to allow more space for a flower feature. He said," The Chairman of Willaston in Bloom, Parish Councillor Wayne Lewis contacted me about this.( See below) The sign is at the junction of Wistaston Road and Crewe Road. This improvement will brighten up one of the main entrances to the centre of the village and make it more attractive. I am pleased that the Cheshire East Council could help in this way. I also pay tribute to the Willaston in Bloom volunteers who do so much to make Willaston such a beautiful place to live."
