Jessops which was are only photographic shop left in Crewe suddenly closed. I believe there was little or no notice as staff were telling people a few days earlier their pictures would be ready. Then suddenly the staff came in and were gone with the store closed.
As one door closes another opens with a new sweets shop next to the 3 store just opened.
The new Tesco store should open in February but its hoped it will in fact open in the next two weeks. They have taken on 300 workers 200 of which are old staff and 300 new jobs which is good for the area. The store is open 24 hours it will be interesting to see if Asda and other stores go 24 hour or open longer

Just to Correct this Post, there is another Photographic Shop in Crewe. Max Spielmann is on Market Street.

bad news for local one direction fans; rumours ran wild in all the schools that the teen band was to open tescos on monday. the boy band to greet them will be a scratch team made up of mayor Roy cartlidge and Edward Timpson MP
